The piece seemed like a great idea for a mystery novel.

Amber is not my favorite but a strong double fermented amber? Lets try a Barley Wine instead methinks. Or perhaps it was the malt at fault? With a source this mysterious it makes makes one wonder, was it plunder? What evil lurks in the hearts? Was it possible a brewmaster went missing in the recent past? This is indeed a mystery! I vote for more episodes.

Good beer story. Coming on strong with and unnamed source, with dubious ancestry and lack of traceability I dub the brew Anonymous after another who created a product for amusement and realizing it was attracting unwanted attention receded into the vapor, forcing Cyrus into silence with untold promises and threats.

This may put me in less esteem with you but I'm not a beer guy. However, I think if someone refused to identify the drink in question, I'd ask for something more identifiable. I trust that since you are writing, you're still okay -- no bad after effects.

The stops on our journeys are defined by coffee. Elle is pretty good at finding a good one -- often without provenance -- so I guess that's similar.
